Born in 1972 in Spanish Harlem - New York, playing vinyl records since
1990 and being based in San Francisco, CA, Charlotte NC and Vienna,
Austria.

Over the past decade, he has been invited to events across America,
Austria, Bahrain, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Poland,
Slovakia, Russia, Spain and the UK to perform his unique mix of
underground techno and soulful house music.

TJ performs in many quality locations around the world and is most
known for his smooth technique and supreme music selection. Some
quality one-off and club nights include; The Drome in London, England,
Flex in Vienna, Austria, The Monastery - Abbey de Blanchelande in
Normandy, France, Club Yellow in Tokyo, Japan and Cocoon Club in
Frankfurt, Germany.

Minimalsoul is his record label that releases a variety of soulful,
modern and abstract music. [changing the way you listen..] is the
basic concept of the label.

Matt Chester runs London based deep techno label 11th Hour Recordings, and is one of the UK’s most vocal supporters of the Detroit sound and all that is raw and soulful in electronic music.
His rich and emotive releases have earned him critical acclaim with DJs and the music press worldwide, drawing praise and support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, DJ 3000, UR, Shake, Dan Curtin, Octave One and many more.
A DJ for ten years, his mixing takes him regularly to clubs across Europe. Playing with an energetic, cut-up and yet always fluid style, Matt has built a reputation with those who know as one of the most exuberant and passionate performers on the circuit.
He is also responsible for London’s ‘Flashpoint’ series of underground parties, which have hosted the likes of Fabrice Lig, Vince Watson, Shawn Rudiman and Arne Weinberg amongst others.
In 2006 he played his first live sets, debuting at a special Underground Resistance party in London alongside his heroes UR and following up with other dates across Europe. These sets are performed 100% live off hardware, each one a unique and fluid electronic jam.
2007 sees things taken to the next level with a new run of releases on 11th Hour and other European labels, as well as dates planned for Japan and the States.
